~*~TIME FLIES!~*~
I remember times I could hardly wait
To start to school and graduate.
To visit Santa every year.
To be sixteen, my first date near.
~~*~~*~~*~~*~~
To learn to drive and own a car.
To get a job and travel far.
Time goes so slow - it takes too long. . .
Why, half my life's already gone!
~~*~~*~~*~~*~~
When am I going to meet Mr. Right?
Uh oh, he's here, what a delight!
Courting over ~ wedding past ~
NINE MONTHS??? How can I last?
~~*~~*~~*~~*~~
Can't wait to hold that bundle of joy.
Which will it be - a girl or boy?
More wonderful babies come and go,
Time no longer passes slow!
~~*~~*~~*~~*~~
Retirement time is coming soon,
Then I'll sing a different tune!
I can finally rest, relax and do
Things I never had time to do.
~~*~~*~~*~~*~~
Whatever happened? I had intentions
Of a great vacation, not to mention
All the plans that went astray. . .
While TIME FLIES faster every day!
And I'm still
Hangin' in There!
