I'M NOT PERFECT YET....
BUT I'M BETTER THAN
I USED TO BE!

VERSE 1

When Peter and the others
crossed the sea of Galilee,
A storm came up and it began to blow,
in the middle of a clear blue sea.
The boat was tossed,
and they began to pray,
then much to their surprise,
They saw Jesus coming toward them,
and all but Peter hid their eyes.

CHORUS

And Peter said, I'm not perfect yet,
but I'm better than I used to be.
I want to have enough faith
to walk on water
and from fear to be set free.
So he walked across the water,
to the waiting arms of the Lord.
He got out of the boat,
kept his eyes on Jesus,
and walked right to the Lord!

VERSE 2

When Paul decided to follow Jesus,
the road was long and hard.
He changed from a man
that was cold and callous,
to one that was loving and strong.
To follow the ones that he once condemned,
and love the ones he once despised,
His friends all said he must be crazy
to leave it all behind!

CHORUS

And Paul said, I'm not perfect yet,
but I'm better than I used to be!
From a shallow life of living the ways
of a sinful world I'm free,
When you decide to follow Jesus,
He has a perfect plan.
You just get on board, invite him in,
and let a whole new life begin!

VERSE 3

We sometimes get downhearted,
we sometimes get afraid.
Satan tries to tell us we're all alone,
no where to turn in these hard days.
When the waters start to risin;
and the mountain just seems too tall.
You have to keep your eyes on Jesus,
He won't let you fall!

CHORUS

I'm tellin' you, I'm not perfect yet,
but I'm better than I used to be!
I want to have enough faith
to move that mountain
and from fear to be set free.
I want to keep my eyes on Jesus,
and see His perfect plan,
I'm gonna get on board, invite him in,
and let a whole new life begin!
